Hello Spiros Zafiris ~ That is Greek name ` First verify if THIS TANKA is directed against my comment on another tanka by a very dubious person ~ If you are teaching me morality of "shanthi" (**Wow ) , i will answer you ~ if you are directing these words against me kindly have the petty courtesy to say so ``Some more clarifications tentatively humbly sought `~ You are Greek ` ~ Are you a practising Christian/ catholic/ churchian ? Do you believe i/we indians ( ??) are all petty third world pagans ? ~ Do you love to eat cows veal pigs goats etc ? ( I am scared of such unfortunate people eating any animal. It is as if they are cutting cooking and eating my children and innumerable mothers ~ ~ Please respond ~

Even otherwise, this tanka is petty gory grotesque vanity concealed as gentle wisdom ~~ Om shanty shanty shanty ~~ I am listening Oh ! Glorious Guru ~ Are you an Athenian or an Epicurean or a hippo0cretanian ???

Spiros is this a tanka from 2005 that you revised? I love the image of someone "lowering their fists to listen." Is "whispered" somewhat redundant because you have "so inaudibly I spoke?"

then I faced
the angry stranger
so inaudibly I spoke
he lowered his fists
to listen

I'm not sure what the other comments are about and hope I'm not interrupting something.

..hello Cindy.>thanks for your comment..this is a tanka I 1st wrote in 2005..but did not revise..one may whisper loud enough to be heard..therefore by saying 'so inaudubly I spoke' doesn't make it so reduntant, in my view..I have many tanka from 2004-2005 I'm only for the first time posting here and there..thanks again.>sp

Each reader interprets things differently. It sounds like you feel strongly that this one does not need revising so I won't make any other suggestions. Thanks for sharing.

..thanks you, Cindy.>most tanka poets I workshop with don't easily adopt suggestions..it is more a process (sharing a tanka poem) the author partakes in to more clearly understand what he/she has created.also, there is the point that by
workshopping, one somehow gets to write more tanka than if
not a member..thanks again.>sp
