Dear Rebba,

yes, it must be so that in Nirvana one does not look back or ahead. It must have been all there for the Tatagadha at the moment of Nirvana, past and present.

As you say, the ultimate destination.... but only for very few, i guess!

Dear Nanda you have posted a Swedish translation and called it Croatian! Please rectify.

These little verses and the comments that follow are very good to read. Thank you Nanda & Rebba.

The Jataka katha-s were appended to Buddha's life by well meaning followers much later!

The Buddha saw the innumerable transmigrations of all beings. In Utter Self-evidence he must have beatifically smiled. But then the vast seamless burden of All creations fell on him.He became a Bodhisattva!

Talking generally Nanda, I have dealt with these questions in my aphorisms.[I hope they are with you.]

The second book "Scrap Bits from the Notebooks of A Lunatic" closes thus!

Holding an unfading lotus
in his right hand
the Maitreya Buddha
sat alone amidst
the fetid squalor
of the last vast hells.

Yes, I remember these lines of yours, Narayanan. These are now at home in Calicut.

I wonder now how Swedish could have become Croatian! May be they are closely related!!! NO, will correct this.

Thank you, Nanda
