It is a confusion to make any purchase Step in to the mall and survey the shelves One is swamped with choices The soap, the shampoo, the paste. Things all need always, Stacked on the shelves in hues and sizes unimaginable Not matters of cost and quality, But of more import, what is quality in a soap What of it`s size color or fragnance How can soap make one fairer and beautiful After a long day`s work unwinding watching televison The music of the heart is rudely interrupted The advertisement breaks in Extolling the virtues of toilet soap And a holy man preach of soap divine As if soap would open the gates of heaven Our forefathers purchased soap Without having to ponder and resolve Marketing techniques in expending soap Advertising is the curse of our age And market economy be damned |
'Things all need always' ~ (Please correct the typo)
This poem could be improved by careful rearrangement.
