http://www.withwords.co.uk The Literary Pamphlet will be produced by Birmingham Words, a U.K. based internet magazine, and they have asked me to be the Guest Editor. ============================================================ All submissions are open to EVERYONE anywhere in the world. ============================================================ BIRMINGHAM WORDS, a community for readers and writers: http://www.birminghamwords.co.uk Haiku and Photography- Call for Submissions In April 2006 we will be publishing the first edition of our new Birmingham Words pamphlets, called The Poetic Image: Haiku and Photography. What we are looking for are haiku or any related forms, including haibun,haiga, tanka and renga. We are also looking for black and white photography. Haiku and photography are artforms that feel naturally at home with each other. In this collection we will be exploring the poetic image using both words and pictures. Our publication date is mid-April, and the collection will be available online FREE from the site. The closing date is 28th February. It will be published in April 2006. GUIDELINES: We are looking looking for submissions from poets and photographers. What we need are: haiku or any related forms (haibun, renga, tanka etc.) black and white photography (JPEGs only, please) The collection will be published online in PDF format and available for FREE download from this site. Please send submissions either in the body of an e-mail or as file attachments to: submissions@birminghamwords.co.uk. You may send up to 5 (five) poems or 2 (two) pages of poetry (whichever is shorter) and/or up to 5 (five) photographs. Please also include your full name and a brief biography of no more than 50 words. All submissions must be the author's own work and previously unpublished elsewhere. Unfortunately we are unable to pay contributors. We will respond to all submissions by the end of March 2006. Please read the submissions guidelines fully before submitting!
