ringing phone ~ silence sparrow appears vanishes sudden blank sunlight on white wall
hen pecks on ground in neighbor’s garden awaits to become chilli-chicken
ah! far away a butterfly ~ a squirrel squeals purposefully ~ breeze fondles shadows
sound of morning brooming tickling water drops keep beat mother’s dear voice instructing
before I discover how a white butterfly cleaves through the garden wall
arrogant mercedes noise ~ amused flowers listen to a distant conversation
a koil’s mournful call ~ smoke spreads fills air no fire seen anywhere
radiant morning light seeps through me spreads into me gentle warmth of solar silence.
Note ~ I wrote this one this morning literally describing the moments around me almost concurrently just as I saw them, well just to see! This one is dedicated to young Shyam Santhanam whose linked Haiku brought this possibility to me.
Special Note ~ There are three ways to treat this sequence of verses .
1] treat it as linked free verse
2] treat it as linked gendai haiku with extra images and syllables
